Not sure what to wear in Napa Valley this fall? I just wrapped up an amazing week out West full of good wine, good views, and the best outfits so it’s safe to say I’ve got you covered!
There’s no better time to visit Wine Country, California than in the fall. September is known as “locals summer” and is one of the prime visiting months for the West Coast— temperatures are still in the eighties but humidity dies down, evenings get brisker, and you start seeing the fall foliage peaking through the trees!
When people say the best part about California is the weather they aren’t lying! A sleeveless maxi dress was truly the perfect outfit for each day. I alternated between sandals and boots and always kept a denim jacket on hand for the evenings but truly this outfit formula was a no-brainer for me when packing.
Add a hat and a bag to match and bam you’ve got an outfit— no need to stress to get a killer outfit!

Of course, if a dress isn’t your thing, a maxi skirt is totally the vibe too! I’ve been bringing this white one on almost every trip lately. Such an easy piece to transition from season to season. I’m giving this a fall feel by pairing it with a denim top and a few cognac accessories!
You can’t go wrong with a hat in wine country— you beat the humidity by already flattering it, plus it’s what all the locals wear!

Nothing gets me in the fall spirit quite like a little bit of brown! This polka dot dress was perfect for a hot afternoon at the wineries. I looked fall but felt cool thanks to this being sleeveless. Highly recommend this sticky bra for any plunging necklines you might be wearing!

This denim-on-denim moment was easily my favorite outfit of the trip. I got dozens of compliments on this number. A little Western moment with this Sezane vest and scarf duo. Such an easy way to spice up your basic tank and jeans!
Speaking of, these front-seam flare jeans are a current fav from Vici. The boots were the perfect shoes for a Napa Valley trip! They’ve got a little western vibe going on but the kitten heel and pointed toe make them feel a little dressier. Napa was all high class so I felt right on par wearing these — not to mention they are Dolce Vitas so they are incredibly comfy!

The key to dressing like fall without sweating your booty off in a Californian September is wearing summery silhouettes in fall colors. This olive green set had a little texture to it too which gave it that sweater-like look.
Of course, tossing on that staple denim jacket for those cooler evenings on the patio was a must! I swear this is the only destination I ever reach for it.

It may be after Labor Day but you’ll still catch me wearing my summer whites. Plus there are lots of bride-to-be’s and honeymooners in Napa Valley so I ended up fitting right in with this linen maxi.
This is the perfect look for a sticky afternoon wine tasting in the sun. Easy breezy linens are key for staying cool!

Chances are if you’re visiting Napa you’re making a quick pitstop by the bay before catching your flight in San Fransisco. It’s significantly cooler by the coast so you’ll want to have a layer or two packed.
Regardless of when you’re visiting, it’s chilly over here. This bright quilted jacket from Sezane was the perfect piece to spice up a basic white tee and jeans. I love a shorter barrel style tucked into boots right now. So chic and so California!

I spent a whole day in San Fransisco before catching my flight back to the east coast. I figured my outfit was too cute not to include in this post.
Loving a basic cardigan + cami moment right now and this light layer was perfect for the weather. Barrel jeans are my current fav from Abercrombie. If you’re spending the day exploring you must wear a pair of sneakers—San Fran is the hilliest city of them all so you’ll definitely want something flat! Oh, and a hat since it’s also one of the windiest.
