May Favorites- NEW YouTube Video

And just like that, another month has come and gone. May left with the blink of an eye but it was a good month, to say the least. I was able to complete my very first style challenge, take my first AP exam, and celebrate my 16^thbirthday with my amazing family (my actual birthday is tomorrow!). June brings Summer which I am so stoked about and of course lots of time to devote to blogging; double YAY! Anyways, today is about recapping May and sharing with you what I’ve been loving lately.

This May I wore a lot of the same pieces due to the Spring 10X10 Wardrobe Challenge that I participated in. For that reason, I really loved the colors blush, black, and white denim. I wore the heck out of the classic Old Navy peplum tank and my white jeans. I also wore my black block heels like crazy and feel in love with my blue Forever 21 slip-ons. They served me well as the perfect Spring shoe. My favorite accessory was by far my BellaDesignsbyBree snakeskin choker; you can get your own too for 15% off when you use the code ‘mckenz15’! With the most random weather, my outfits did vary quite a bit, but I’m not complaining because any sun is fine by me!

As far as makeup goes, I did complete a Makeup Of The Week each week this month. My favorite week had to have been this past one when I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I also have been wearing my LipSense in the color ‘Plum Pretty’ quite a bit this month as well as the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pore Powder which is amazing for baking the under eye area. I have been reading Job this month and it has provided me with some beautiful insight on life in general lately and the fruitfulness of calling out to Jesus and in practicing His word. I have already decided that I want more of Jesus and aspire to know His ways in more than just the Bible’s and hope to work on that more in June. Anyway, this is by far my favorite page from my Bible this month.

I always update you all on my Netflix watching in my Favorites post so… I have less than ten episodes left in the last season of Gilmore Girls and am so sad about it! I am so not happy with how the show is going right now (Team Luke!!), ugh! After I finish Season 7, I plan on watching the revival of the show that is on Netflix too! I cannot wait. Omg for music this month I seriously cannot get over Spotify’s ‘Have A great Day’ playlist! It’s a mix of all the old classics and some of my favorite newer songs. I have been listening to it nonstop lately.

My Instagram growth has been in a bit of a rut lately. I did not reach my April or May goals but am not extremely disappointed by it because I know that with time and dedication it will get to be where I want it to be. I have been slowly but surely working my traffic up to where it was on my old site and my style challenge definitely helped with that a bit. For June I am going to set my goals kind of out there and say 2,275 for Instagram and 100 more on my blog because go big or go home, right?! I also am not setting these goals to feel disappointed but because setting goals makes me want to work that much harder and fires up a passion inside me that is not there when I am not working for ‘something’.
