Chocolate brown has been trending for a couple of months now but I can’t seem to get enough of it. Retailers everywhere are continuing to release new items in this gorgeous hue so naturally I’ve picked up a few. I’m back today sharing three ways to wear brown this spring.
I know there was a time I used to hate this color but I’ve got to admit, I hope it sticks around far past this season! I have a feeling it’s going to compliment a summer tan beautifully.
A basic tee-shirt dress is my number one closet essential once it warms up. This style is so versatile and can easily be layered with a cardigan, blazer, or jacket for those chiller mornings. It also looks just as cute worn on its own. I’m keeping things simple with a pair of nude mules and a crossbody bag to match. The strap on this has a fun geometric pattern with just a hint of chocolate brown.
Of course, few outfits of mine are complete without a felt hat. These are the perfect finishing touch and help give the outfit more of a bohemian, relaxed vibe. This one is an old favorite from Lack of Colors.

I can’t seem to get enough of bodysuits either these days! As much as I love a good crop top or basic tee, there’s nothing better than a bodysuit to seamlessly tuck into your jeans. They leave no wrinkles or panty lines which is the best. Plus, they are so easy to style. This one is from SheIn and has an adorable peek-a-boo detail along the chest and criss crosses a few times in the back.
Pop on a pair of jeans and boom—you’ve got an outfit all in one! Mine are from Lulus; I figured a boyfriend fit and a few rips would be the perfect contrast with the rest of this outfit. The heels and butterfly earrings keep things super flirty + feminine. Of course I had to add a hat! This nude one is definitely one of my most-worn accessories. There are just a few left in stock. Grab one while you can—I promise you won’t regret it.

Never thought I’d see the day that chocolate brown made its way into “going out” clothes but here we are. Don’t get me wrong, you definitely don’t have to wear this dress clubbing or out to the bars but it’s definitely for a dressier occasion. It’s very rare I reach for a bodycon but this one was hard to resist. With a tie side detail it cinches up into the perfect mini.
I love a good one shoulder detail and this one has an adorable cut out along the side. I’ll admit, it’s a bit tricky to get on, but once you do you’ll look amazing! I’m wearing the same nude heels from the last look and am popping on a crossbody in the same hue. I reach for this one all the time; it’s the perfect size for the essentials.

Well, what do you think of these three looks?! I’m so excited about my latest finds and cannot wait to see what other brown items I’ll add to my closet over the coming months. Now if only I could get my hands on some loungewear… Hope you enjoyed today’s post; if there’s any other color you’d like to see me style let me know in the comments below.
With love, McKenz
